Warranty

We stand behind every table we create. When you invest in something handcrafted with this level of care and quality, you deserve complete peace of mind. That’s why we offer comprehensive warranty protection that covers you from day one. All Tailor-made+ furniture is crafted with precision, care and attention to detail. We stand behind the quality of our products and provide the following warranty, which should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. If there is any inconsistency between this page and our Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions shall take precedence.

1. Warranty Period

The warranty guarantees that our products will be free from faults or defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 10 years from the date of delivery.

2. When the Warranty Applies

The warranty applies:

  • only to the person who purchased the products from us. It is not transferable;
  • only to products used within the environment intended by their design and for normal domestic use (e.g., dining tables used in standard home environments);
  • only where the products have been installed, used and maintained strictly in accordance with any guidelines or instructions provided by Tailormade + Ltd;
  • only where the purchaser has validated the warranty in accordance with paragraph 4 below.

3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover, and we shall have no liability in respect of:

  • items purchased from us which are manufactured by another manufacturer and for which any warranty is provided directly by that manufacturer;
  • damage caused or contributed to by poor, incorrect or improper use, installation or maintenance;
  • damage caused by events outside our control including (but not limited to): fire, flood, extreme weather, corrosion, leaks, infestation, vandalism, accidents or improper storage following delivery;
  • normal wear and tear, including natural ageing of materials and finishes;
  • damage caused by alterations, modifications or repairs not carried out or authorised by Tailormade + Ltd;
  • damage caused by the removal or relocation of the product after initial installation;
  • damage caused by wilful damage, abuse, misuse, negligence or abnormal environmental conditions;
  • damage caused by household animals or misuse by children;
  • damage due to non-domestic or commercial use where the product was supplied for normal domestic use only.

4. Warranty Registration

To validate the warranty, you must complete the warranty registration form supplied with your products and register your warranty within one calendar month of delivery. The registration form can be submitted following the instructions provided with your order or as otherwise notified on our website.

5. Submitting a Warranty Claim

To make a claim under your warranty, you must complete our warranty claim form (available on request or via this page) and provide all information reasonably requested, including clear photographs of the issue.

6. Inspection Requirement

You must allow our representative to review and inspect the product that is the subject of the claim. If you do not allow such an inspection, the warranty will be invalidated in respect of that claim.

7. What We Will Do If Your Claim Is Accepted

If we determine that there is a defect or fault covered by the warranty, we will, at our option:

  • repair the defective product (or part); or
  • replace the defective product (or part); or
  • provide a refund of the price paid (or an appropriate proportion of it).

Any repaired or replacement product or parts supplied under this warranty will be guaranteed only for the unexpired portion of the original warranty period.

8. Important Notes About Materials

Porcelain stoneware and our other surface materials are manufactured with inherent natural and batch variations. As set out in our Terms & Conditions:

  • Variations in size, shape, manufacturing tolerance, shading and pattern are normal and expected characteristics of porcelain stoneware and similar materials.
  • Surface names, images and sample swatches are indicative and serve as a guide only. Colour and texture can vary from batch to batch and may appear different under varying lighting conditions.
  • We strongly recommend ordering swatch samples prior to purchase to view materials in person.
  • Porcelain stoneware and other surfaces can experience wear over time and may suffer impact damage from knocks, dropped items or abrasives. No surface is guaranteed against chipping, cracking, crazing, scratching or other impact-related damage.

9. Non-Transferability

This warranty is personal to the original purchaser named on the invoice and cannot be transferred to any subsequent owner.

10. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory legal rights, including your rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
