Delivery

We want your Tailormade+ dining table to arrive safely, smoothly and with the level of care your custom-made piece deserves. Our premium white glove delivery service ensures your table is delivered, positioned and handled by trained specialists. All deliveries are fully insured.

A flat delivery rate of £200 applies to all UK mainland addresses. For deliveries outside the mainland, please contact us for a tailored quotation.

Once your table has completed production, our team will contact you to arrange a delivery date. We kindly ask that delivery is accepted within 30 days of notification. Standard delivery windows are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm. If a confirmed delivery attempt is missed, redelivery charges may apply.

Before Your Table Arrives

Because each Tailormade+ table is built to order and often made from premium porcelain stoneware, it is essential to confirm that your chosen design can be delivered into the intended space. Please carefully check:

  • doorway, hallway and stairwell widths and heights;
  • lift dimensions (where applicable);
  • turning space on landings and in corridors;
  • any tight corners or restricted access points.

The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access. If access is not possible upon delivery, any redelivery, returns, modifications or access-related costs will be chargeable.

Our delivery team cannot move, disassemble or remove existing furniture, nor can they move or disconnect electrical equipment, wiring or appliances. The delivery area should be clear, safe and ready for your new table.

Professional Packaging

Your table is packaged using premium-grade protective materials designed to safeguard porcelain, metal and timber components during transit. Because of the weight and fragility of porcelain surfaces, teams trained in handling heavy and delicate furniture will manage the entire process.

On Delivery Day

  • Please inspect your table thoroughly upon arrival.
  • Any visible damage must be reported immediately and noted with the delivery team.
  • If the delivery note is signed without noting visible damage, we may be unable to process transit-related claims.

Our white glove team will position the table in your chosen room, subject to safe access and lifting conditions. Basic assembly (where applicable) and packaging removal are included.

Your Dining Table Specifications

Custom Manufacturing

Every Tailormade+ dining table is made to measure based on your selections and specifications. We work to professional dimensional tolerance limits of ±0.3%. When providing measurements, we assume these represent the total finished dimensions required, including any fixtures or fittings.

  • We cannot be responsible if the finished table does not fit into your space due to measurement discrepancies within our tolerance range.
  • Where you provide your own design specifications or drawings, you share responsibility for the functionality, access suitability and overall practicality of the design.

Material Characteristics

Porcelain stoneware is a premium manufactured material with natural variation in tone, movement and pattern. Because of this:

  • Pattern distribution and veining are unique to each slab and cannot be selected or guaranteed.
  • Colour and texture may vary slightly between samples, product photography and the final delivered table.
  • Such natural and batch-based variations are not considered defects.

For this reason, returns cannot be accepted for personal preferences relating to porcelain pattern variation, colour differences or natural characteristics.

Weight Considerations

Porcelain table tops are significantly heavier than timber or composite surfaces. If you have concerns about delivery access, floor load, or installation logistics, please contact us prior to ordering so we can advise you.

Important Notes

  • Tables are delivered fully assembled unless your order specifies otherwise.
  • A responsible adult must be present to receive and sign for the delivery.
  • The delivery team may refuse to proceed if access poses a safety risk to the property, the product or themselves.
  • Any subsequent delivery attempts due to access issues, customer absence or unsafe conditions may incur charges.

For full details of our delivery, warranty and returns terms, please see our Terms & Conditions.

8. Important Notes About Materials

Porcelain stoneware and our other surface materials are manufactured with inherent natural and batch variations. As set out in our Terms & Conditions:

  • Surface names, images and sample swatches are indicative and serve as a guide only. Colour and texture can vary from batch to batch and may appear different under varying lighting conditions.
  • We strongly recommend ordering swatch samples prior to purchase to view materials in person.

Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory legal rights, including your rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

For full details of your rights and our responsibilities, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.

About our Products

Manufactured in Great Britain

Every single table is crafted right here in Great Britain at our purpose-built facility in Chatteris, just outside Cambridge. Our team of skilled craftspeople have dedicated their careers to mastering the art of working with porcelain… and you can feel their passion in every piece they create.

There’s something special about knowing your table was made by hand, with care and attention to detail, rather than churned out in some distant factory. When you choose one of our tables, you’re not just getting beautiful Italian porcelain; you’re getting British craftsmanship at its finest.

Built for Real Life

When you choose a porcelain stoneware table, you’re choosing a surface that’s designed to handle everything life throws at it, and still look stunning years later. Unlike traditional materials that require constant care and worry, porcelain stoneware gives you the freedom to actually live with your table.

Effortlessly Practical

Picture this: red wine spills during dinner parties simply wipe away without a trace. Hot serving dishes straight from the oven won’t leave marks. Coffee rings, tomato sauce splatters, even everyday food prep, none of it phases porcelain. The completely non-porous surface means bacteria can’t take hold, making it incredibly hygienic for families who use their table for everything from homework to meal preparation.

Professional Grade Quality

All our table tops are NSF® Certified, ensuring they meet the highest standards for hygiene, safety, and food contact suitability. This certification guarantees that the surfaces are non-porous, easy to clean, and resistant to bacteria and staining, making them ideal for both residential and commercial dining environments. With NSF® approval, you can be confident that your table not only looks exceptional but also upholds the strictest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Complete Customisation

Every table we create is uniquely yours. Choose from our extensive range of porcelain surfaces, from dramatic marble effects to subtle concrete textures, then select the perfect base to complement your style. Whether you prefer the clean lines of our geometric Alveo base, the classical elegance of Colonna columns, or the natural warmth of Romano wood, every element can be tailored to your vision.

Size Options: From intimate circular tables for two to grand rectangular pieces for large families
Surface Colours: Over 20 authentic porcelain finishes to choose from
Base Styles: Multiple options in various materials and finishes
Dimensions: Popular sizes for different occasions and room layouts

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes your tables different from mass-produced furniture? A: Every table is handcrafted specifically for you at our British facility. We don’t keep stock—each piece is made to your exact specifications, combining your choice of porcelain surface with your preferred base style and dimensions.

Q: Do you offer custom sizes? A: Our tables are offered in fixed sizes shown on the product page. We have tables from intimate two-seater circular tables to large rectangular tables that seat 12 people. Please contact us for any custom projects.

Q: How accurate are the dimensions? A: We work to dimensional tolerance limits of ±0.3%, which means your table will be incredibly precise. When you specify measurements, we assume these are the total dimensions required, including any fixtures or fittings.

Q: Can I choose the exact pattern placement on my porcelain surface? A: Due to the natural characteristics of porcelain materials, we cannot select specific pattern areas or guarantee exact pattern placement. Each surface has unique variations that make your table one-of-a-kind.

Q: What does NSF® Certification mean for me? A: NSF® Certification means your table surface meets commercial-grade standards for hygiene and safety. It’s the same certification used in professional kitchens, ensuring your table is perfectly safe for food contact and family use.

Q: Do you offer matching furniture pieces? A: Currently, we specialise in dining tables, but we’re expanding our range to include bathroom vanities and other porcelain surface applications. Contact us to discuss bespoke products.
